VINASIL FE is stable to hardening agents of water as well as acids and magnesium chloride. VINASIL FE is sensitive to slightly alkaline water and all forms of alkali. VINASIL FE is sensitive to temperatures above 40oC The product is very sensitive to frost temperatures around the freezing point cause irreversible changes. The product will hold for at lease six months if stored at 25oC in tightly closed original packing.
DILUTION
VINASIL FE can be diluted to any ratio with cold water; alkaline water should be acidified with acetic acid to pH 5.0 – 5.5 before adding the product.
APPLICATION
VINASIL FE is a high-grade silicone elastomer for finishing of textiles. The following properties stand out for this product:
Very soft, drapable and elastic handle on woven and knitted fabrics. Optimum softening effect on PES / cotton fabrics. Minimal effect on degree of whiteness. Almost no adverse effect on shade or colour fastness properties of coloured textiles. Supports the elastic force of mesh fabric. Improves the “wash-and-wear” effect in resin finishing. Good washing and dry cleaning stabilities. Reduces the crush resistance of nonwoven VINASIL FE can be applied through padding method. VINASIL FE is applied As soft handle agent in combination with cellulose cross-linking agents for a crease-resistant finish of all native and regenerated cellulose fibres as well as their mixtures with synthetics. For soft handle finish of 100% wool and PES / WOOL mixtures. As softener to improve the elastic force.
